Brazilian Computing Society hosts major software and AI events
The Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) is organizing major academic events focused on software engineering and artificial intelligence.
The Brazilian Software Congress (CBSoft) will take place from September 8 to 11 at the University of São Paulo (USP). This annual event aggregates several specialized symposia, including the Brazilian Symposium on Software Engineering, the Brazilian Symposium on Programming Languages, the Brazilian Symposium on Components, Architectures and Software Reuse, and the Brazilian Symposium on Systematic and Automated Software Testing. The congress aims to bring together national and international experts to discuss both the theory and practice of computing.
Additionally, the SBC Week 2026 initiative will mobilize educational institutions across Brazil starting August 31. The central theme for this year is Artificial Intelligence, with a specific focus on digital security challenges and the ethical implications of deepfakes and falsified content. The program includes national online lectures and local activities organized by various universities to engage students, researchers, and professionals.
