The Court of Accounts of Mato Grosso do Sul (TCE-MS) participated in the launch of the National Network of External Control for the Protection of Women (Rede que Protege) during a national seminar held at the Court of Accounts of Rio de Janeiro (TCE-RJ).
The initiative aims to coordinate efforts among Courts of Accounts to evaluate public policies focused on preventing violence against women, assisting victims, and ensuring the accountability of aggressors. The seminar brought together auditors, prosecutors, and public security specialists to discuss strategies for improving public policy oversight regarding this issue.
During the launch, organizers highlighted high rates of violence and homicide against women, citing data from the United Nations and the Brazilian Public Security Forum. The network is a consolidated effort involving various institutions within the Courts of Accounts system.
