Brazilian cultural and culinary festivals announced in Brazil and Portugal

Two distinct cultural events celebrating Brazilian gastronomy and traditions are scheduled to take place in Brazil and Portugal.

In Uberlândia, Brazil, the Nham Brasil Festival will be held from September 25 to 27 at Espaço Ciranda. Organized by Tasty, the free event features 12 typical dishes from 10 Brazilian states, including Acarajé from Bahia, Baião de Dois from Pernambuco, and Barreado from Paraná. The festival aims to showcase the country's diverse culinary identity, influenced by Indigenous, African, and European traditions, and will include live musical performances.

In Lisbon, Portugal, the Brasil Origem Week will return to Cordoaria Nacional from October 9 to 11. This free event, integrated with the Chocolat Festival to celebrate Brazilian cocoa, offers visitors a chance to experience products from across Brazil. The program includes workshops, lectures on sustainability and producer valuation, and showcooking sessions. Organizer Marco Lessa noted that the previous edition in Lisbon drew over 15,000 attendees, highlighting the strong interest in Brazilian producers among the Portuguese public.
