Brazilian cultural and gastronomic venues mark first anniversaries

The Espaço Cultural Casa Vidal in Taquara has marked its first year of operation following an extensive restoration process. Since its reopening, the historic site—the oldest standing building in the municipality—has hosted 4,803 visitors from 90 cities and 14 Brazilian states. The restoration project, which cost nearly R$ 6 million, uncovered architectural features such as half-timbered walls. The center serves as a hub for exhibitions, workshops, and book loans, having recorded 3,186 book loans in its first year.

In Recife, the Parque Gourmet at Shopping Recife is celebrating its first anniversary. The gastronomic space has attracted over 1 million visitors and generated approximately R$ 75 million in revenue during its first 12 months. The project has also contributed to local employment, creating roughly 400 direct jobs and providing qualification courses for over 100 community members. The area currently hosts ten restaurants and continues to expand its culinary offerings.
