Brazilian Deputy Danilo Forte Hospitalized After Heart Attack, Undergoes Stent Procedure

Federal deputy Danilo Forte suffered a heart attack on July 23 and was taken to emergency surgery. He underwent a cardiac catheterization with the implantation of a stent and is currently in stable condition, recovering with his family and under medical supervision.

Because of medical advice, Forte missed the party convention scheduled for July 26 and was represented by his son, David Paes Forte, who acted as his proxy. The deputy thanked supporters for their messages and expressed confidence in his recovery and return to political activities.
