Brazilian diaspora reaches record 5.3 million people abroad

The number of Brazilians living abroad reached a record high of approximately 5.3 million in 2025, according to the Annual Consular Report released by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This figure represents an increase of 110,000 people compared to 2024.

As emigration grows, there is an increasing demand for information regarding legal work requirements, visas, salaries, cost of living, and language proficiency. Many professionals are now prioritizing securing job offers before relocating.

In response to its need for highly qualified professionals, Finland has identified Brazil as a priority market for international talent recruitment. This strategic move aims to address labor shortages by attracting skilled workers from the Brazilian market.
