Brazilian energy firms launch large apprenticeship programs

Raízen announced that it is accepting applications for more than 250 apprenticeship positions across several Brazilian cities, including four in Rio de Janeiro. The roles cover administrative, operational and technical tracks for young people aged 16 to 21, with a work schedule of four to eight hours per day. Apprentices will receive a stipend, and technical apprentices will study at Senai while completing practical training at Raízen facilities.

Norte Energia, the concessionaire of the Belo Monte hydro‑electric complex, opened enrollment for its 2026 Apprenticeship Programme for residents of Altamira and surrounding areas. The program targets youths aged 16 to 22, offering a four‑hour morning shift and a monthly salary of R$ 810.50 plus meal and transport benefits. Participants will receive logistics‑assistant training in partnership with Senai, with the apprenticeship running from September 2026 to August 2027.
