Brazilian entrepreneurs arrested after violent incidents captured on video

Orion Dix Paranhos, a businessman in Pirenópolis, Goiás, was arrested preventively on 24 June 2026 after a video showed him assaulting a vulnerable woman who was sleeping on a public bench. Police units located and detained him following widespread social‑media outrage; the victim received support from the local Maria da Penha battalion while the investigation continues.

In Rio Branco, Acre, a video recorded inside a Cacau Show store showed a female franchise owner physically confronting her husband with slaps after a staff member, identified as Carol, disclosed alleged long‑standing harassment and infidelity by the husband. The woman also alleged previous abuse by the husband. No police report has been filed and the company has not commented on the incident.
