Brazilian ex-banker Daniel Vorcaro's plea deal rejected by Federal Police
Brazilian Federal Police formally rejected the latest plea‑deal proposal from Daniel Vorcaro, the former owner of the now‑defunct Banco Master. Vorcaro, arrested in March 2026 during the third phase of Operation Compliance Zero, has been linked to a multibillion‑dollar fraud scheme and to a covert group known as “The Turma” that allegedly carried out cyber‑intrusions and intimidation.
The rejection cited the proposal’s superficial nature and omission of key allies. Vorcaro remains in Federal custody in Brasília, facing further legal actions as the investigation continues to uncover connections to political figures and alleged espionage within Brazil’s law‑enforcement agencies.
