Brazilian families seek aid after house fires destroy homes

A fire in the early hours of Monday engulfed a home on Rua Coronel Almeida Pinto in Barretos, São Paulo, forcing a couple, their three children (ages 13, 8 and 1) and a pet dog to evacuate. The blaze destroyed the kitchen and left the interior filled with smoke, causing the youngest child, who already had bronchiolitis, to be hospitalised. The family has taken refuge with relatives and is requesting donations of furniture, appliances, clothing and other essentials to rebuild their home.

In another incident on Friday morning, a house in the community of São Sebastião, Ibiam, was completely consumed by fire. The family lost all possessions and now needs food, clothing, footwear, furniture, bedding and hygiene supplies. Local volunteers are urging the public to contribute items or monetary help to support the affected household.
