Brazil Federal Police launch multiple operations against online child sexual abuse
The Federal Police of Brazil have carried out a series of operations targeting the online exploitation of children and adolescents. In Tocantins, Operation Horizonte Seguro VI resulted in the arrest of a man for storing and sharing illicit material and the seizure of electronic devices. In Ceará’s Camocim, Operation Inocência Protegida XX seized phones, computers and storage media after a warrant was executed, an investigation that began with information from the U.S. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. In Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Operation Aeges 4 led to the arrest of a suspect and the confiscation of a cell phone for forensic analysis. All actions emphasize the Federal Police’s call for parents to monitor minors’ internet use and adopt preventive measures.
These coordinated raids illustrate a broader effort to dismantle networks that distribute child sexual abuse material, involving both national authorities and international partners.
