Brazilian Federal Police probe funds from ex-banker Vorcaro linked to Eduardo Bolsonaro's US expenses

The Federal Police of Brazil announced plans to open an investigation into the flow of money from former banker Daniel Vorcaro to a Texas‑based fund, Havengate Development Fund. The funds, originally presented as financing for the biopic film “Dark Horse” about former President Jair Bolsonaro, are suspected of being used to cover the living expenses of ex‑deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, who has been residing in the United States since February 2025.

The police intend to request cooperation from U.S. authorities to break the bank‑secrecy order on the fund, which received transfers through Entre Investimentos e Participações, a company tied to Vorcaro. Director‑General Andrei Rodrigues confirmed that the inquiry will examine whether the money supported personal costs or an alleged attempt to coerce Brazilian officials. The investigation has been referred to the Prosecutor‑General’s Office for a decision on jurisdiction, and the case may be assigned to one of several Supreme Court ministers. Senator Flávio Bolsonaro denied any irregularities, stating the contributions were solely for the film’s production. The probe also involves the use of Interpol tools to locate and preserve assets related to the Master bank case.
