Brazilian female artists Alhocca and Laís Bianchessi highlight musical diversity
Brazilian singer and songwriter Alhocca has released her new visual album, ‘Rainha’. The project features eight tracks rooted in the diversity of Brazilian popular music, blending Afro-Brazilian and regional rhythms with contemporary aesthetics such as synths and electric guitars. The album explores themes of maternal ancestry and female empowerment through genres including baião, pagode, samba, repente, afrobeat, and forró pé-de-serra.
Additionally, singer Laís Bianchessi is gaining recognition as a prominent female voice in contemporary romantic pagode. With over 145 million streams on audio platforms, Bianchessi has performed alongside established artists like Ivete Sangalo. Her work, including the track ‘Segura Minha Mão’ and her EP, focuses on sincere lyrical narratives regarding personal experiences and love.
