Brazilian food chains Sterna Café and Divino Fogão accelerate expansion in 2026

Sterna Café, a premium coffee‑shop chain, announced plans to finish 2026 with 130 stores nationwide, up from nearly 100 in the first half of the year. The company reported a 96% rise in consolidated revenue and a 27% increase in consumer sell‑out for the January‑June period, driven by a 45% growth in total units, a 250% surge in company‑owned stores and a 25% rise in its franchise base. CEO Silvana Buzzi said the focus now is to sustain growth while maintaining operational quality.

Divino Fogão, a Brazilian restaurant brand, unveiled a R$40 million investment to open 40 new outlets in 2026, shifting from mall locations to street‑level and highway sites. The first street restaurant opened in Brasília’s Asa Sul, with additional units planned in São Paulo and two highway locations. The chain ended the first half of the year with 260 points of sale, a 22% sales increase, and R$16.5 million in new investments that created almost 200 direct jobs and added capacity for roughly 100,000 extra meals per month.
