Brazilian football clubs receive major SAF investment proposals
Brazilian football clubs are seeing significant investment proposals through the SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol) model.
União Recreativa dos Trabalhadores (URT) has received a binding proposal from Tera Participações e Investimentos Ltda. for 90% of its SAF shares. The deal is valued at R$ 90 million, with a minimum investment of R$ 90 million planned over 20 years via annual installments of R$ 4.5 million. These funds are intended for infrastructure, player recruitment, logistics, and debt repayment. The proposal includes protections to maintain the club's identity, such as its name, colors, anthem, and mascot, and stipulates that the club's headquarters and home matches must remain in the Patos de Minas region.
Separately, businessman Roberto Graziano of Grupo Magnum has detailed a massive investment plan for Guarani. The proposal could exceed R$ 1 billion, including incentives, with a core investment of R$ 750 million. Key objectives include constructing a new multi-use arena within three years to replace the Brinco de Ouro stadium and building a training center five times larger than the current one. Graziano stated his primary sporting goal is to return Guarani to the Brasileirão Série A and secure participation in international tournaments like the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
