Brazilian Football Confederation opens extra registration window for Serie A clubs

The CBF announced an extraordinary domestic‑transfer window for Série A teams, running from 9 to 17 July. The measure compensates for the advancement of the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, which will see several matches played before the FIFA deadline of 20 July for opening international transfers. By allowing clubs to register new Brazilian players within this period, the federation aims to “maintain the competition’s balance.” The decision was communicated to clubs on Friday, 26 June, and applies only to domestic moves, not to foreign signings.

The schedule for the resumed league includes fixtures such as Botafogo vs Santos on 16 July and Vitória vs Vasco on the same day, among other matches slated through late July.
