Brazilian Football Federation opens special transfer window for Serie B and C clubs
The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) announced an exceptional transfer window for clubs competing in Brazil's Série B and Série C. Player registrations will be accepted from 6 July to 17 July 2026, limited to domestic movements involving athletes who have taken part in state championships or national leagues this season. The regular window, running from 20 July to 11 September, remains unchanged. The measure was justified by the early conclusion of lower‑division state competitions and is intended to aid professional athletes and club organization. Eleven northeastern clubs – Fortaleza, Sport, Náutico, Ceará, CRB, Santa Cruz, Floresta, Maranhão, Botafogo‑PB, Confiança and Itabaiana – are explicitly noted as beneficiaries.
Separately, the Série D of the 2026 Campeonato Brasileiro entered its third phase, with 31 of the 32 teams confirmed. The fixtures are slated to begin on 4 July, with return legs on 11 July. Matchups include Manauara vs Goiatuba, Ferroviário vs Imperatriz, Gama vs Porto Velho, Trem vs América‑RN, and several others, determining the clubs that will advance toward promotion to Série C for 2027.
