Brazilian franchising market grows 9.3% in Q2

The Brazilian franchising sector grew 9.3% in the second quarter, reaching a revenue of R$ 76.3 billion, according to the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF). This growth occurred despite economic challenges such as high interest rates, inflation, credit restrictions, and increased household debt.

Over the first half of the year, the sector saw a cumulative growth of 9.7%, with total revenue reaching R$ 149 billion. ABF President Tom Moreira Leite noted that franchising has become a vital service infrastructure in Brazil, covering essential areas such as food, education, health, and financial services.
