Brazilian hospitality sector shows expansion through hotel growth and new contracts

The Brazilian hospitality and tourism sector is experiencing a period of expansion, characterized by rising operational indicators for established chains and a surge in new property affiliations.

Nord Hotels has reported growth in key metrics through September 2026, including increases in occupancy rates, average daily rates, and RevPAR compared to the previous year. The company’s financial director, Daniel Rodrigues, noted that the network's diverse portfolio allowed it to adapt to shifting consumer behaviors and regional tourism trends. The company anticipates maximum occupancy for the upcoming New Year's Eve period in locations such as João Pessoa, Patos, and Juazeiro do Norte.

Simultaneously, Resorts Condominiums International (RCI) projects closing 2026 with at least 20 new affiliation contracts in Brazil, representing a 25% increase over 2025. These new partnerships span various accommodation types, including large resorts, urban hotels, boutique properties, and inns. Notable upcoming additions include the Wyndham Corumbá Lake Resort in Goiás, Radisson Rio de Janeiro Barra, and several properties in Itacaré, Bahia.
