Brazilian hotel launches Vila Encantada kids area; Portuguese resort offers free stays for children

Hotel Fazenda Vilarejo in Conservatória, Rio de Janeiro, opened a new child‑focused space called Vila Encantada. Designed for children up to three years, the area features a mini village, farm‑style kitchen, drawing zone, costume play, storytelling stage and various play stations, along with a parent support area. The project, led by architect Mariana Tavares, cost about R$200 000 and aims to enhance family experiences at the rural‑style hotel.

The Magnolia Hotel in Quinta do Lago, Algarve, Portugal, introduced a "Kids Stay for Free" promotion that provides complimentary accommodation for up to two children (up to 12 years old) year‑round, regardless of room type. The offer also includes free use of bicycles, wellness facilities, and a Chill Zone with games and Xbox. The hotel continues to run other discounts such as stay‑four‑pay‑three and early‑booking rates.
