Brazilian hotels announce themed New Year's Eve celebrations

Hotels in Brazil are launching specialized programming for the 2026/2027 New Year's Eve season to capitalize on the high summer tourism period.

The Pestana Rio Atlântica in Copacabana will host the ‘Réveillon Rio Atlântica 27’, featuring a rooftop party with a panoramic view of Copacabana Beach and Sugarloaf Mountain. The event will include performances by the Beija-Flor samba school battery and DJs Marcelo V’Re, Naldo Torres, and Sander. The celebration offers all-inclusive dining stations and an open bar.

In Ponta Negra, the Esmeralda Praia Hotel has announced an immersive ‘Ancient Egypt’ theme for its New Year's Eve festivities. The hotel's strategy focuses on providing a complete experiential stay through scenographic decoration and themed live shows. This move aligns with the significant economic impact of the Brazilian summer season, which is projected to account for approximately 44% of the nation's annual tourism revenue.
