Brazilian HR experts outline strategies to prevent workplace burnout

Aliesh Farias, CEO of Carpediem RH, advises Brazilian companies to adopt five practices to sustain employee energy and engagement during the mid‑year period. These include reviewing goals, encouraging strategic breaks, promoting use of vacation time, strengthening communication with active listening, and investing in well‑being and recognition. She stresses that “the brain cannot sustain high performance for long periods without rest.”

Psychotherapist Daniele Caetano of Caminhos da Terapia explains how burnout differs from stress and anxiety, noting that burnout is tied to the work environment and manifests as emotional exhaustion, reduced motivation and withdrawal. To help workers self‑diagnose, she has created an educational quiz that highlights key symptoms of each condition, encouraging early professional help when needed.
