Brazilian independent cinema featured in regional festivals and public screenings

Independent Brazilian cinema is being highlighted through various regional festivals and public screenings. The feature film ‘Linhas Tortas’, produced by Parte 2 Filmes in Caconde, will be screened at the 8th edition of FestCine Pedra Azul in Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo. Directed by Alessandro Guimarães, the drama explores psychological tension and moral conflicts during a dinner interrupted by thieves.

In João Pessoa, Paraíba, the Cinema Passeio is hosting a series of screenings focused on national and local productions. The program includes the feature film ‘O Quatrilho’ by Fábio Barreto, alongside several short films. Managed by the João Pessoa Cultural Foundation (Funjope), the cinema provides free access to the public to promote audiovisual education and visibility for regional filmmakers.
