Brazilian industry updates: Gerdau internships and Yanmar at Concrete Show
Gerdau, Brazil’s largest steel producer, has opened applications for its 2026 G. Start university internship program. The Pindamonhangaba unit in São Paulo is offering 17 vacancies, primarily for engineering students. Interested candidates must be scheduled to graduate between March 2028 and December 2029 and must be available for a six-hour daily workload.
Separately, Yanmar South America is participating in the Concrete Show 2026, held at São Paulo Expo from August 25 to 27. The company will showcase a portfolio of construction solutions, including various mini-excavator models such as the SV08 and VIO series, as well as engines and generators. This participation follows reports from IBGE indicating a 2.9% growth in Brazil’s construction sector during the first quarter of 2026, marking a recovery from previous declines.
