Brazilian influencers face controversies involving privacy and physical altercations

Brazilian social media influencers have been involved in separate controversies. Carlinhos Maia faced intense criticism after posting a video on Instagram that exposed the privacy of Patixa Teló, an influencer with Down syndrome. The video, which featured sexualized comments regarding Patixa, was subsequently removed, but sparked calls for intervention by the Public Ministry due to potential violations of privacy laws regarding intimate content.

Separately, at the 71st Festa do Peão de Barretos, a physical altercation occurred between influencers César Rincon, Miguel Mendes, and Kelly Fazendeira. The conflict involved physical aggression and the destruction of a camping trailer. Rincon admitted to hitting Mendes with a belt and acknowledged that his team destroyed the trailer. Following the incident, Rincon reportedly spent 370,000 reais to provide a new trailer and vehicle rental for the couple as a settlement.
