Brazilian influencers involved in social media disputes

Several Brazilian social media influencers have been involved in recent public controversies. Carlinhos Maia and influencer Andréia Matos, known as Rainha Matos, engaged in a dispute during a WePink event in São Paulo. Matos reported that Maia reacted rudely when she attempted to greet him, specifically regarding social media posts made by her team about him. Both parties have stated they no longer intend to maintain a professional or personal relationship.

Separately, influencer Rico Melquiades sparked backlash on social media after instructing his employees that they are prohibited from listening to songs by singer Anitta within his home. Melquiades threatened dismissal for anyone who violates this rule, following recent tensions with the artist. The statement has drawn criticism from social media users regarding labor practices, while others have defended his right to set rules within his private residence.
