Brazilian influencers Viih Tube and Eliezer pay R$350 k to end controversial reality show
Viih Tube and her husband Eliezer reached a settlement with Brazil's Ministry of Public Labor (MPT) over the reality program “As Patroas,” which featured their domestic workers in humiliating challenges. The couple agreed to pay R$350 000 in moral damages, permanently remove all show videos, and cease any future productions that expose employees to degrading situations. They must also broadcast three educational videos on domestic workers' rights and face fines of R$50 000 per violated clause, plus R$5 000 per affected worker.
Tax specialist Lucas Congo clarified that the R$350 000 will not be distributed to the workers or the government. Instead, the funds are earmarked for collective initiatives defined by the MPT, such as social projects, educational campaigns, and actions that promote labor‑rights awareness.
