Brazil municipalities launch job fairs and professional training programs

Various municipal initiatives in Brazil are focusing on professional development, occupational safety, and public health.

In Londrina, the local government has partnered with Senac Paraná to offer 465 free vocational training spots in fields such as technology, gastronomy, and management. Additionally, a large-scale job fair, the Feirão de Empregos Conecta Norte, is providing access to over 1,300 job openings across 71 companies to facilitate local employment.

Occupational safety programs are also active, with São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo conducting its 9th Internal Week for the Prevention of Occupational Accidents (SIPAT) and the Municipal Environment Secretariat (Sema) launching its 2026 SIPAT focused on worker well-being. In Mato Grosso, the Public Ministry (MPMT) implemented the Âmbar Project to improve leadership through feedback and non-violent communication.

In the health sector, São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo has regulated protocols for distributing health benefits like diapers and nutritional supplements to vulnerable SUS users. Meanwhile, in São Luís, the Hospital dos Servidores Estaduais is hosting discussions on patient safety, and other regional programs are organizing community events for the elderly to promote active aging.
