Brazilian insurers advance digital transformation and automation
Major Brazilian insurance players are advancing digital transformation through automation and strategic distribution models.
Bradesco Vida e Previdência has reached a 98% automation rate in its life insurance underwriting process. According to Senior Superintendent Alessandro Malavazi, technology allows for more agile risk assessment, enabling specialists to focus on complex cases that require individualized technical depth while automated flows handle standard criteria.
Prudential do Brasil is focusing on integrating insurance into the consumer journey, particularly within the mass market. Luciana Amano, Vice President of Massificados, noted that for low-ticket products sold via digital banks or fintechs, the company aims to build a presence through data-driven anticipation and B2B2C partnerships with entities like Mercado Pago, RecargaPay, and Creditas. The company also utilizes programs like 'Vida em Movimento' to reward proactive health behaviors among individual life insurance policyholders.
