Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu circuit draws hundreds of athletes in Guarujá and Curitiba

The 5th Circuito de Jiu‑Jitsu Open took place on Sunday at the Ginásio Tejereba in Guarujá, bringing together roughly 400 competitors across Gi, No‑Gi and combined categories. The event, backed by the Guarujá municipal sports department, featured age groups from pre‑mirim to masters and saw athletes such as Leandro Siqueira Ribeiro and Hygor Brito da Silva claim top spots. A charitable drive also collected 248 liters of milk for the local Fundo Social de Solidariedade.

In Curitiba, the 5th stage of the Circuito Paranaense de Jiu‑Jitsu was held at the Ginásio do Tarumã, attracting more than 2,500 participants. Seven athletes from Tibagi’s Diamante Fight academy earned 11 medals, highlighting the municipality’s strong showing. The competition, organized by the Federação de Jiu‑Jitsu do Paraná (FJJPR), was noted as one of the state’s largest jiu‑jitsu events, drawing significant spectator numbers over the two‑day tournament.
