Brazilian Judicial Bodies Announce Multiple Training and Cooperation Events
The Tribunal de Justiça do Mato Grosso (TJMT) and the Centro de Estudos Integrados em Meio Ambiente (Cesima) opened registrations until 28 July for an ‘Introdução ao Direito Ambiental’ course. The course runs 3–5 August, with two in‑person days at the Escola Superior da Magistratura de Mato Grosso (Esmagis‑MT) and a final day remote, and will be certified for magistrates’ promotion. Leading scholars Ingo Wolfgang Sarlet and Tiago Fensterseifer will present.
The 43rd Encontro do Grupo de Estudos da Magistratura (GEMAM) is scheduled for 14 August in Barra do Garças, Mato Grosso, at the Tribunal do Júri. The event will open with Desembargador director Márcio Vidal and close with Juíza coordenadora Alethea Assunção Santos, featuring presentations by several judges.
The Tribunal de Justiça de Minas Gerais will host the 14th Caravana Nacional da Cooperação Judiciária on 6 August. The caravan includes Corregedor Nacional de Justiça Mauro Campbell Marques and Ministro Afrânio Vilela, focusing on abusive litigation, judicial costs and the credibility of the justice system.
