Brazilian judokas achieve success in world and national competitions

Brazilian judokas have achieved notable success in recent competitions. Clarisse Vallim, representing Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, has secured her second consecutive World Cadet Judo Championship title. At 15 years old, Vallim currently leads the world ranking in the up to 70kg category. Her journey began through the Samurais do Morro social project in Rio de Janeiro.

In domestic competition, Yasmin Bueno Alves placed seventh in the 2026 Brazilian Junior Judo Championship held in São José, Santa Catarina. Competing in the Cadet class (ages 15-17) within the lightweight category (up to 48kg), Alves achieved the technical index required to compete in the Junior class (ages 18-20). Following her performance, she is set to represent Minas Gerais in the Youth Games in Foz do Iguaçu.
