Brazilian karate athletes secure multiple medals in regional competitions
Athletes from Palmital and Apucarana achieved significant success in recent Brazilian karate competitions. A delegation from Palmital, consisting of 20 athletes, earned 12 medals—including one gold, six silver, and five bronze—at the Shinshukan Brazilian Karate Championship held in Praia Grande. The team, led by instructor Adriana Rodrigues of the Senshi Kyokai school, competed in kumite, kata, and kobudo disciplines.
In Paraná, the Karatê Vida Association from Apucarana secured eight medals during the Copa Paraná in Santo Antônio do Sudoeste. This achievement brings the association's season total to 38 medals. Notable performers included Isabelly Martin de Bairres, who won the women's kata championship, and Brayan Raphael O. Querino, who earned silver in kata and bronze in kumite. The Apucarana delegation is now preparing for the South American Championship in Copiapó, Chile.
