Brazilian markets react to US-Iran tensions and Ibovespa volatility

The Brazilian mini dollar (WDOV26) closed up 0.26% at 5,127.5 points, alongside a 0.44% rise in the spot dollar to R$ 5.114. This movement was driven by international tensions between the United States and Iran, which pushed Brent crude oil prices above US$ 100 and increased U.S. Treasury yields.

In the domestic market, investors are monitoring the crisis involving the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF), the upcoming electoral scenario, and a negative exchange flow totaling US$ 6.693 billion. Technical analysis suggests that while the dollar is attempting a recovery, it faces resistance between 5,137.5 and 5,151 points.

Meanwhile, the Ibovespa mini index (WINV26) fell 0.8%, signaling a pause after recent gains. BTG Pactual notes that the index is operating below key moving averages, with immediate resistance at 188,304 and 188,371 points. If the index fails to recover the 188,300 level, a deeper correction toward 186,000 points is possible, although the long-term trend remains upward.
