Brazilian migrants deported from US to third countries

Brazilian migrants are being deported from the United States to third-party countries, including African nations, under current migration policies. One such case involves 21-year-old Paola Santos, who was deported to Liberia after living and working in Massachusetts for five years.

Santos reported being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for over a year and was transported on a 16-hour flight while handcuffed. She stated she was unaware of her destination until she landed in Liberia. Reports indicate that nearly 25,000 people have been deported to third countries under these policies, often involving long periods of detention and limited communication regarding their final destination.
