Brazilian military branches open recruitment for temporary personnel

The Brazilian Army and Navy have announced new recruitment processes for temporary military personnel in various regions of Brazil.

The Brazilian Army has reopened applications for temporary military positions within the 8th Military Region, covering the states of Pará, Maranhão, Amapá, and northern Tocantins. The reopening, scheduled from September 21 to October 4, 2026, follows technical issues with the candidate selection system. Opportunities are available for technical officers, technical sergeants, and specialist corporals across various professional levels. Requirements include a maximum age of 40 at the time of incorporation and specific height minimums.

Separately, the Brazilian Navy has opened 23 vacancies for temporary officers through its Voluntary Military Service program. These positions are located in Manaus, Tabatinga (AM), and Porto Velho (RO). The vacancies target professionals with higher education degrees in fields such as Dentistry, Nursing, Administration, Law, IT, Psychology, Social Work, Biology, Pedagogy, Chemistry, Architecture, and Civil Engineering. Applications are open until November 10, with candidates required to be between 18 and 41 years old by June 2027.
