Brazilian Minister Blocks Senator Ciro Nogueira's Plane in Corruption Probe

Justice Minister André Mendonça ordered the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) to seize a Beechcraft B200 King Air linked to Senator Ciro Nogueira. The aircraft, built in 1987, is valued between US$2 million and US$4 million (about R$10 million). The seizure is part of Operation Compliance Zero, a Federal Police investigation into alleged financial irregularities involving the senator and his family.

Records show Nogueira bought the plane for roughly R$4 million, later resold it for US$2 million, but the aircraft remained registered in his name until May. The investigation also involves his brother, Raimundo Nogueira, who faced earlier Federal Police actions. The court order makes the aircraft unavailable while the probe continues.
