Brazilian motorsport updates: New karting event and MOTO1000GP relocation
The Brazilian motorsport calendar sees two notable updates. The Caixa de Assistência dos Advogados de São Paulo (CAASP) will debut the Campeonato de Kart OAB-CAASP on September 19 at Speed Park in Birigui, São Paulo. The competition includes categories for men, women, and dependents, with specific safety requirements regarding height and weight for participants.
Separately, the seventh stage of the MOTO1000GP, part of the 2026 Brazilian Motorcycle Racing Championship, has been relocated. Originally scheduled for Cuiabá, the event will now take place at the Autódromo Internacional Zilmar Beux in Cascavel, Paraná, from November 6 to 8. The move follows a technical inspection of the Mato Grosso circuit, which determined that structural adjustments to the track and escape areas are necessary to meet international motorcycle safety standards.
