Brazilian municipal amateur football tournaments attract crowds in Entre Rios de Minas and Taboão da Serra

From mid‑June to early August 2026 the municipality of Entre Rios de Minas in Minas Gerais hosts the second edition of its Municipal Amateur Football Championship, featuring nine local teams and weekend matches that draw large crowds and promote community integration. The tournament is part of the city’s cultural, sport and leisure program and will conclude with a final on 8 August.

In the neighboring state of São Paulo, the 26th Municipal Futsal Championship of Taboão da Serra holds its gold‑division final on 28 June at the Ginásio Zé do Feijão. Thirty‑two teams compete this year, a record increase, with a third‑place match preceding the championship game between Esquadrilha Futsal and Toa Toa. Both events are free to the public and are highlighted as key local sport initiatives.
