Brazilian municipal chambers issue formal recognitions

Municipal chambers in Brazil have issued formal recognitions for local achievements. In Costa Rica, Mato Grosso do Sul, Councilor Ailton Martins de Amorim presented a Motion of Applause to the Santo Antônio de Pádua Parish. The honor recognizes the organization of the JDJ 2K26 – Diocesan Youth Journey, an event that gathered over one thousand young people from various cities within the Diocese of Coxim.

In João Pessoa, Paraíba, the Municipal Chamber approved a vote of applause for landscape architect Sérgio Chaves. The recognition follows his re-election as president of the Brazilian Society of Urban Arborization (SBAU) for the 2027–2029 term. Chaves, a long-time environmental management specialist, was elected during the XXVIII Brazilian Congress of Urban Arborization held in Recife.
