Brazilian municipal guards trained on rifles and evaluated for firearm suitability
The Municipal Guard of Aracaju (GMA) in Brazil started a new phase of its Professional Qualification Stage, providing rifle training to 19 guards after the recent acquisition of ten rifles. The program emphasizes safe handling, precision shooting, and operational techniques to ensure responsible use of the weapons.
In the municipality of Maricá, 385 municipal guard members began mandatory psychological assessments from July 18‑21, required for possible firearm carriage. The evaluations, conducted according to Federal Police standards, will determine which agents are fit to continue the armament process and receive further firearms training.
