Brazilian municipal police arrest suspects in theft and drug cases in São Paulo state
In Porto Ferreira, the municipal guard (GCM) conducted patrols on the night of 1 July and the following morning. Officers stopped a man attempting to steal a motorcycle on Avenida Álvaro de Góes Valeriani, placed him in custody and returned the vehicle to its owner. The next day they responded to a report of a shop robbery, intercepted the suspect fleeing the scene, and recovered all stolen shaving devices (eight disposable razors and two rechargeable units), which were returned to the victim.
In Sorocaba, GCM officers of the Romu unit patrolled near Parque Miguel Gregório de Oliveira on the night of 2 July. They detained a 26‑year‑old man suspected of drug trafficking and seized 445 individual drug portions—86 crack, 191 cocaine, 112 marijuana, 32 dry, and 24 unidentified substances—along with R$300.80 in cash. The suspect was taken to the civil police station for processing.
