Brazilian municipal services adjust schedules for election Sunday
Municipal services and leisure facilities in Brazil are adjusting operations to accommodate the upcoming election Sunday.
In Recife, the city administration has established a special scheme for healthcare services. Urgency, emergency, and inpatient care will remain available 24 hours at several municipal polyclinics and maternity hospitals, including Agamenon Magalhães, Amaury Coutinho, Professor Barros Lima, and Professor Arnaldo Marques. The Hospital da Mulher will also operate 24 hours for births and gynecological emergencies. Additionally, the Environmental Surveillance and Zoonoses Control Center will maintain an emergency duty roster.
In another region, the Parque Zoobotânico Arruda Câmara (Bica) will maintain its regular operating hours from 9:00 to 17:00. To ensure staff can exercise their right to vote, the park administration has organized a rotating work schedule, allowing employees to visit their polling stations without interrupting visitor services.
