Brazilian municipalities advance preparations for new public service exams

Municipalities in Brazil are advancing preparations for new public service examinations. In Curitiba, the city government has re-published the ordinance designating the Organizing and Appeals Commission. The Fundação Fafipa has been contracted as the organizing body under a 24-month contract valued at R$ 1,859,936. The upcoming selection process is expected to offer approximately 348 vacancies across ten different careers within the Direct Administration.

In Nova Iguaçu, the Municipal Attorney General's Office (PGM) is preparing for its second Support Career examination, projected to occur by the end of 2026. Recent legislative updates, specifically Municipal Law No. 5.382/2026, have reorganized technology roles and created a new higher-level position for a Computing and Informatics Analyst. This role will be responsible for information and communication technology activities within the Attorney General's Office.
