Brazilian municipalities advance road and drainage infrastructure works

Municipal governments in Brazil are conducting various infrastructure and road maintenance projects to improve urban mobility and drainage.

In São José, work on Rua Theodoro Francisco dos Santos in the Fazenda Santo Antônio neighborhood has reached 60% completion for new interlocking concrete paver paving. The project included significant drainage upgrades, such as replacing a 40-centimeter diameter pipe with a new 80-centimeter diameter system to mitigate flooding. The intervention also required the controlled fragmentation and removal of a large rock mass to facilitate the installation of the new drainage network.

In Manaus, the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seminf) has intensified asphalt recovery efforts in the North Zone. Specifically, Rua Abacaba in the Santa Etelvina neighborhood is undergoing pavement repairs following technical inspections. These maintenance works are part of a permanent schedule aimed at improving traffic safety and quality of life for local residents.
