Brazilian municipalities announce new student internship and transport scholarship programs

The city of Treze de Maio in Santa Catarina issued an open call for paid internships in its Municipal Agriculture Department. The program, targeting secondary, technical and higher‑education students, creates a reserve register for four levels of internships with weekly hours of 20 or 30 and stipends ranging from R$770 to R$1,205, depending on education level and workload. Applications are to be submitted in person during business hours.

In João Monlevade, Minas Gerais, the municipal education secretary released a selection process for 12 university‑transport scholarships. The benefit supports students traveling nightly to Itabira and the Vale do Aço region for studies. Priority is given to undergraduate students without a degree, with secondary priority for graduates pursuing new courses. Candidates must prove at least one year of residence in João Monlevade, provide enrollment documentation for the second semester of 2026, and commit to two hours weekly of volunteer work. Applications are accepted on 3 August 2026 at the education department office.
