Brazilian municipalities approve new construction contracts worth millions of reais
The municipality of Benjamin Constant in Amazonas announced a contract worth R$ 2.64 million to build a Type 2 preschool in the Ticuna Filadélfia indigenous community. The work will be carried out by Torres & Costa Construção Ltda., selected through an electronic competition, with funding from the Fundeb VAAT.
In Rondônia, the city of Seringueiras issued an electronic bidding notice for the expansion of tourism infrastructure at Parque do Buriti along BR‑429. The contract is valued at R$ 597 489 and will be awarded to the lowest‑price bidder for the infrastructure upgrade.
Both projects reflect ongoing municipal investment in education and tourism facilities in Brazil, relying on public‑service procurement processes and external funding sources.
