Brazilian municipalities celebrate founding anniversaries

Various Brazilian municipalities are holding celebrations to mark their founding anniversaries.

In Sapucaia do Sul, the city celebrated 65 years of emancipation with a large public event featuring a 65-meter cake. The festivities, which included 80 cakes made by local confectioners and various musical performances, were rescheduled to a Friday due to rain. Mayor Nestor Bernardes highlighted the city's development, noting the arrival of companies like Mercado Livre and Gedore in the local industrial district.

Chapadão do Céu marked its 44th anniversary with a traditional civic parade. The event included local schools, public servants, and authorities, such as Goiás Government Secretary Rafael Lustosa. The celebration emphasized the municipality's growth and its strong roots in agribusiness.

Santa Gertrudes is celebrating its 78th anniversary with a series of musical events and cultural activities. The program includes the 'Tarde do Rock' at Pátio da Aspacer, featuring various bands and a national performance by singer Di Ferrero, alongside an antique car meeting at Parque Municipal Ruy Raphael da Rocha.
