IFSP and Ministry launch digital citizenship program for seniors in Brazil's ABC region
The Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) Campus Diadema partnered with Brazil's Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship to deliver the "Viva Mais Cidadania Digital" project. Over a series of five workshops in São Bernardo do Campo and Diadema, more than 200 elderly participants received training on digital tools, online safety, and access to public services. The initiative aimed to promote digital inclusion and protect the rights of older adults, especially those in vulnerable communities. Officials highlighted the program’s novelty, noting it was the first joint effort of the Ministry with IFSP to support retired metalworkers and other seniors in the ABC region.
