Brazilian municipalities expand LED public lighting projects

Municipalities in Brazil are advancing public lighting modernization through the installation of LED technology. In Carambeí, the installation of 296 new LED lamps has begun to replace older equipment, aiming to increase energy efficiency, visibility, and public safety. This initiative is part of a broader trend in the state of Paraná, where approximately 80% of streetlights have already been converted to LED.

In Niterói, the local government has started installing 180 LED lamps in the Maceió neighborhood. The city aims to achieve 100% LED coverage across all districts by 2026, having already reached approximately 90% coverage. These upgrades are intended to improve urban security and quality of life while reducing energy consumption.
